A great Chili Cook-Off is even better when there are loads of fun for the younger folks. It all starts when you arrive at one of our entrances and discover that Kids 10 & under get in for FREE! Once you get in, you’re faced with that first big decision with the Kids – eat or play. We’ll go with one you can repeat several times throughout the day – food! And feeding the kids should be easy – from the large variety of Chili tasting to your favorite fair-food, drinks, & desserts. Be sure to check out the myriad of food trucks & booths found in the park.

When you find your way to the official Kids Zone, the fun multiplies. Included in the Kids Zone for 2016 are a bounce house, bungie run, ring toss, an arts & crafts booth, face painting, tic-tac-toe, photo area, petting zoo and much more! Once you get your Kids Zone wristband (purchased separately for $10, kids 2 and under FREE), you’ll be able to come and go whenever you wish throughout the day.  A big shout out to Rochelle Callis from the Conejo Recreation & Park District for putting the Kids Zone together.

For the less structured – stop to take a look around – the beautiful & sprawling Conejo Creek North Park begs the kids to run free (all within sight, of course), and work off all that energy. Some will be attracted to the music they’ll hear at one of the three stages – that alone may get them moving from side-to-side. And it’s quite ok to show them the lineup of cars on display – they can see that hard work, a passion for the Classic automobile, and a driver’s license can be very rewarding.

Chili+ food+ cars+ music+ the Kids Zone = FAMILY FUN. Get all that at the 2016 Thousand Oaks Chili Cook-Off & Classic Car Show, April 24th, 11am-6pm, Conejo Creek North.
