For Some, It’s All About the Music!

Year in and year out, one of the biggest attractions to the Chili Cook-Off is the MUSIC. And this year is no exception.

With our move to Conejo Creek North, we’ll be able to have THREE stages of music, as well as other entertainment. Throughout the day (you will want to be there early, of course!) you’ll be able wend your way to each stage to keep yourself quite busy (in between chili tasting, admiring classic cars and visiting the Kids Zone).

The three stages on the sprawling grounds of the park will be referred to as the Lakeside, Creekside, and Borderline stages. Among the featured musical groups this year are SouthBound, one of the best Allman Brothers tribute bands found anywhere, Cover 2 Cover, the well-known group of LA studio & road musicians covering all of the big hits, and Julius Who, a new force in modern music, straight off the plains of Simi Valley. Also appearing will be several local favorites: Moonridge, the Honey Bourbon Boys, The Red Muffs, and Mark Olson’s DVR Band.

But wait, there’s more. Opening the day will be the highly acclaimed Thousand Oaks High School Jazz band. And also appearing on stage will be a Shakespearean troupe, the Taiko Drums group, a reptile show, a Jalapeno contest, and the La Monarca Fashion Show. And added to that are the award ceremonies for the Classic Car Show and the Chili contests.

As you can see, it will be quite an entertainment and fun filled day. It’s all on Sunday, April 24^th, 11am-6pm, at Conejo Creek North.
